Il Viandante
IL VIANDANTE = the Wanderer or Wayfarer in italian language...
We are a small trekking agency based in the Canton Ticino, (Italian-speaking part of Switzerland).
We started in 2019 with a few trips to Greece, Italy and Israel. Encouraged by the success of these first steps, we have expanded our trips with more destinations.
New expert guides have come on board with whom we have developed very exciting trekking year after year.
Each of our trips has a touch of familiarity and simplicity, where the professional and careful aspect of the preparation of each program merges with the human warmth that we want to convey to our participants.
As skilled craftsmen, we care that each of our proposals is a unique piece in which each of us puts a piece of themselves and shares it with others.
We look forward to welcoming you and walking with you, like wayfarers of a long life!

Marco Carletto
I am Marco, the founder of Il Viandante, always passionate about slow-paced travel, better if on foot.
I have been hiking since I was a boy and I like being in contact with nature, whether it is mountains or sea I need to savor the atmosphere and energy of the untouched environment.
I am an ESA instructor (Sport for Adults - Switzerland) certified in the discipline of hiking, with a certificate issued by the Federal Office of Sport.
As destinations I prefer the Mediterranean area, in particular Greece, Spain, Italy and Israel.
In addition to these destinations, I also like walking in the beautiful Alps of the Canton of Ticino, just outside my home!

Federica Amaducci
A passion for walking that began when I was a child and that over time has turned into a real profession, as an Environmental Hiking Guide.
In the past years I have managed mountain refuges, on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and later in the Apuan Alps.
My homeland is Tuscany, and I live near the city of Lucca.
After a degree in Art History I chose to continue following my path along the paths, in fact I deal with excursions accompanying groups in different territories both in Italy and abroad.
I know my region quite well, which I have crossed on foot many times, also dedicating myself to the exploration of its beautiful islands. Furthermore, I have specialized in itineraries linked to the Via Francigena and the various paths that lead to Santiago de Compostela on Spanish soil.
The latest treks I am working on are in Georgia, in the Caucasus, a destination that offers new itineraries for mountain enthusiasts. Following my intense collaboration with this country, a publication will soon be released, "Portraits and Landscapes from distant lands".
I also love Spain and Portugal very much, I'll wait for you on one of my treks in these lands!

Alessandro Oprandi
I'm Alessandro, and since I was a child I have had a great passion for backpacking and like all good travellers, I believe that the best way to get to know a territory is to cross it on foot, slowly.
My interest in nomadic and indigenous peoples has led me to explore distant environments and lands, from South America to Africa, although lately I have been dedicating myself to discovering new itineraries especially in the South of Italy.
However, I also have deep interest in the Mediterranean area with various treks in Greece, Spain and Croatia.
Originally from Bergamo, for a few years I have been living in the province of Brescia in the splendid region of Sebino (Lake Iseo).
